"Our PT has treated our daughter for 2 years, and has been vigilant in helping her reach those important milestones of sitting, crawling, and walking. She is detailed and thorough in her evaluations. She is attentive to our daughter's needs, and is always cognizant of our goals as parents, working with us to help her accomplish them. She is a real team player, and works beautifully with all the other members of our daughter's medical and therapeutic team. These are only a few of our PT's great qualities as a physical therapist. She has become much more than a therapist for our daughter; she is truly a good friend and advocate."
"Our son's PT combines technical expertise with an uncanny ability to relate to our son and to us. When our 4-month-old was diagnosed with torticollis, which was contributing to his plagiocephaly, we were relieved to find someone who had extensive experience treating the disorder in young children. Our son's visits were not only productive, but fun for him, and she expertly coached us on what we needed to do at home to expedite his recovery. We are very thankful we met her."
"At 15 months my son was not crawling or walking. I took him to see a PT at Play-Based Physical Therapy. The physical therapy treatment, in conjunction with the home program our PT designed for my son, had him crawling in no time and walking after three months. Our PT's fund of knowledge mixed with her gentle approach was just what I needed for my son, and he loves playing in the office during his physical therapy appointments. I'll continue to spread the good word about Play-Based Physical Therapy."
"Our Physical Therapist has seen one or both of my premature twins since they were just a few months old. She is wonderfully engaging with both babies and toddlers, very attuned to their needs while encouraging them to learn and grow strong. Our PT is also incredibly supportive with parents of children who need some extra help and is willing to take time to explain issues and develop effective and reasonable home programs. I am so grateful that she has been a part of my children's early development and truly believe that they wouldn't be doing as well now without her help."
"Between the two of them, my children have seen seven pediatric physical therapists. All were good, but Play Based Physical Therapy really stood out. The therapy my son received was excellent and exactly what he needed at the time, but as far as he knew, he was having weekly play sessions; he absolutely loved it. Our PT is gifted at knowing what each child needs, putting the child at ease, and communicating effectively with children and parents. Visiting the office was so much easier then getting to a hospital-based PT appointment. We were thrilled with the care our son received, the ease of communicating with his therapist and his overall progress. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough."
"Our Physical Therapist has been wonderful with our son, who was diagnosed with Hypotonia/Low Muscle Tone as an infant. She started treating him when he was 5mo old and he is now an energetic capable 22mo old. Her encouragement for our whole family while helping our son has been amazing. Our son loves to go to therapy and has developed a real bond with his PT. We couldn't ask for anything more, we have had such a good experience with therapy and our son is performing most if not all the physical tasks of his peers. We attribute a lot of his success to the efforts and skill of Play-Based Physical Therapy."
"We were very concerned with the development of our son's motor skills. We started physical therapy with Play-Based Physical Therapy because they were highly recommended on the Hill. We had had some experiences with other PTs before and were very concerned regarding our son's motivation. With our PT we found a caring therapist who was as concerned with the development of our son as we were. She was the first who started an obstacle course where our son was supposed to crawl over different surfaces or to use steps or ramps. We have not seen something like this before. It really challenged him but he also made great progress. Our PT is very focussed on what the children need in their daily routine. She is concerned in how the children get along in their daily lives and what I felt was that her goal is to make their daily life easier and more fun. Something that is in my opinion the most important thing! Because when they feel comfortable in their daily routine they feel confident to try something new."
